In this issue John Carter is forced to make more and more raids upon innocent cities,and it is revealed that Tars Tarkas is alive and struggling in the desert. All is going according to the plan of the council of five. During a raid, John Carter gets in a fight with a horrible giant space lizard called T'ralla.
