Llana of Gathol is the daughter of Tara of Helium and Gahan of Gathol, making her the granddaughter of John Carter and Princess Dejah Thoris. She is also the great granddaughter of Jed Mors Kajak and the great great granddaughter of Tardos Mors the Jeddak of Helium.
Llana is every bit as beautiful as her mother and her grandmother but more of an action girl, being quite capable of using a sword in her own or another's defense. She is also a bit of a minx and leads her lover Pan Dan Chee an awful dance. Her grandfather John Carter is displeased but has the good sense not to interfere.
