Mars 216 is a small planet in the Alpha Centauri, the fourth planet out from its sun. The planet is referred to as Barsoom by its native inhabitants, it has a dwindling atmosphere maintained by an atmosphere factory, and two natural satellites in its sky.

HistoryEdit

Earth scientists had knowledge of this world, they believed it had an atmosphere and they possessed the technology to send humans too this planet, they had to do this as their scans were incapable of penetrating through its atmosphere to the surface.

Two humans were sent, first Sarka, then the military man John Carter. Their arrival had a significant effect on the political status of the world, and Sarka even put the world in peril by threatening the atmosphere factory.

Native LifeEdit

The planet possessed two sapient species, one nearly identical to humans which maintained the atmosphere factory, and another species called tharks which are savage tribals. In addition there is a number of non-sapient creatures.
