Therax with Sab Thans knife at her throat!
Therax is a female Warhoon who was the "first and greatest" mate of the Jeddak of these savage peoples. It was her who suggested throwing Dejah Thoris into an arena with wild calots. Sab Than took this woman hostage to force the Jeddak to release Dejah Thoris, and then ruthlessly killed the woman anyways greatly angering the Jeddak! Oddly enough, it seems that there was genuine love beetween the Jeddak and this woman, something that is definitly not typical in their society.
