Turgan is the holy book of the religion of the people of Barsoomian nation of Phundahl. It was supposedly written by the religion's god - Tur. The religion denies any knowledge that does not come from the book, and bans any other books, as well as telescopes, and - albeit indirectly - exploration of the world outside of Phundahl borders.
