Usa

The usa is a fruit native to Mars. Although it is is very bland when eaten plain (most Martians prefer it cooked and heavily spiced), it is highly nutritious and grows with very little irrigation, and thus is a staple in the diets of lower-class Martians and soldiers. Among the soldiers, it has acquired a nickname that translates loosely to "the Fighting Potato".
